Rose A. (DiMento) Tripodi's Obituary
Rose A. (DiMento) Tripodi, 86, of Syracuse, passed away Friday at St. Camillus with her loving family by her side. Rose was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Thomas and Santa (Sofia) DiMento. She looked forward to holidays, and enjoyed baking, shopping and playing cards. Rose also loved cooking sauce and meatballs for family dinners on Sundays. Rose dedicated her life to family and loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.
Other than her parents, she was predeceased by her 2 sisters, Josephine Venditte and Rita Ricciardiello. Rose is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Joseph Tripodi; her 3 children, Annette (Tony Martin) Lutz of Syracuse; Alfonse (Anna) Tripodi of Syracuse and Sandra (Hank) DeShane of Liverpool; 3 grandchildren, Robert (Heather) Lutz, Kristine (Darryl) Sheaks and Daniel Tripodi; 2 great-grandchildren, Maci Rosan Lutz and Dominique Fernandes, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rose's family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to her extended family at St. Camillus, B Unit, for all of their loving care over the years.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a funeral mass in celebration of Rose's life at Noon in Our Lady Of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
