Rosemarie A. (Wadanole) Weatherup's Obituary
Rosemarie A. (Wadanole) Weatherup, 86, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at Iroquois Nursing Home on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. She was born in Syracuse to the late Theodore P. and Rose G. (Gelormini) Wadanole. She worked at First Trust & Deposit Co. where she met the love of her life, Paul J. Weatherup and they were married for 64 years. She was a member of the Jaycettes and a proud mother to her son, Mark Paul. She was a fixture at the family restaurant, Caroma, for almost 30 years. Rosemarie always loved to run into her former customers and talk about the restaurant, it brought her great joy. She was a strong woman and a proud cancer survivor for almost 8 years. As her cousin put it best, she was a “wonderful person, the most giving and unselfish person, they do not make them like that anymore.”
The lights of her life were her three grandchildren, her great-granddaughter, who she always sang to, especially “Row Row Your Boat,” and her beloved grand-dog. She was famous for her pies, homemade candy, and of course, the candy trees she made for the holidays. She enjoyed spending time at her happy place, Cocoa Beach, Florida either by the pool or on the beach. She was always proud of her tan. Rosemarie truly lived by her favorite phrase, “I love you to the moon and back.”
Rosemarie was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Paul, in 2021.
