Rosemary DeJoseph's Obituary
Rosemary DeJoseph, 81, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2023, in Florida. She was born and raised in Syracuse by the late Bernard “Duke” and Amalia (Delmonico) DeJoseph. Rosemary attended The Convent School and later received a BS degree from LeMoyne College. She earned a master’s degree in social work (MSW) from Syracuse University and was employed for many years in the healthcare field, eventually retiring from Hospice of CNY. She relocated to Florida in 2017.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her first husband, Peter Giacobbi; her second husband, Michael Bucci; her son, Mark Giacobbi; and her brother, Bernie DeJoseph.
Rosemary is survived by her children, Dr. Peter R. Giacobbi, Jr., Elissa (Michael) Soulia, Neil Giacobbi (Bethany Godsoe); her partner, Robert Gamble; her grandchildren, Anabel, Margot, and Luca Giacobbi; her brother, Hon. Brian F. DeJoseph; her sister, Elizabeth Lattanzi; her best friend and cousin, Susan Delmonico Ross; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will take place from 10 – 10:45 am followed by a memorial Mass at 11 am on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Blessed Sacrament Church, 3127 James St., Syracuse. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
