Rosemary "Josephine" Rubino's Obituary
Rosemary “Josephine” G. (D’Aloia) Rubino, 103, passed away Wednesday at Iroquois Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of Rose (Corvo) and Theodore D’Aloia. Josephine was employed with the Post Standard Newspaper Circulation Department for many years before her retirement. She was a former member of the St. Therese Society and St. Anthony Society, and also the Mother’s Club at Our lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Carl A. Rubino in 1981 and her son-in-law, John M. Osinski in 1996.
Josephine is survived by her two sons, Carl A. (Barbara) Rubino of Utica and Robert T. (Suzanne) Rubino of North Syracuse; her daughter, Roberta Osinski of Liverpool; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Josephine’s family would like to express their deep appreciation to the 1st and 4th Floor Staff at Iroquois Nursing Home for their loving comfort and care.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Josephine’s life at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, January 19, 2015 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Road (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Iroquois Nursing Home, 4600 Southwood Heights, Jamesville, NY 13078.
