Rosemary C. (Grilli) Sellin's Obituary
Rosemary C. (Grilli) Sellin, 92, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully November 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary (Vitullo) Grilli, Rosemary was a graduate of Assumption High School and went on to work for Carrier Corporation, before becoming a clerk/typist and retiring from Upstate University Hospital. She was a devout Catholic and longtime communicant of Epiphany Parish (formerly Immaculate Heart of Mary Church), and she volunteered at their food pantry for many years. Rosemary was also a member of the Salina Senior Citizens group.
Along with her parents, Rosemary is predeceased by her son, Michael A. Sellin, in 1991; and her four siblings, Angela Grilli, Lola Luisi, Raymond Grilli, and Edmund Grilli.
Rosemary is survived by her loving husband of nearly 69 years, Leonard C. Sellin; her five children, Margaret (John) Lacorazza, Dennis Sellin, Lisa Sellin, Khristine Sellin (Matthew Townsend), and Amy Sellin; six grandchildren, Frank West, Nicholas West (Susan Hodell), Joseph Lacorazza, Aislinn (Brian) Hartnett, John Lacorazza, and Dominic Lacorazza; two great-grandchildren, Theodore and Benjamin Hartnett; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her very dear friend, Mary Joan Vincent.
The Sellin family would like to thank Keepsake Village, Iroquois Nursing Home, and Crouse Hospital for their care for Rosemary.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Rosemary’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Epiphany Parish (formerly St. Joseph the Worker Church), 1001 Tulip St. Liverpool, NY. She will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) Syracuse, NY 13212.
