Rosina (Cilurzo) Ceravolo's Obituary
Rosina (Cilurzo) Ceravolo, of Liverpool, left this world to be with her Lord and Savior and reunite with her soulmate, Pietro on Memorial Day.
Rosa was born in Vallefiorita, a small mountain village bordering the Ionian Sea in the province of Calabria, Italy on May 7, 1930. In 1955 she left behind seven siblings, both parents and a large ensemble of extended family to come to America by boat and forge a new life with her husband, Pietro toting two young children and a couple of suitcases.
While raising five children, she worked for General Electric as an Assembly Technician Inspector for 25 years.
Her Italian cooking skills were beyond words and she took alot of pride in maintaining a spotless household. For those who knew Rosa, she was a character of all characters, much loved by all. She pushed herself tremendously hard and sacrificed much for others, especially her family. Her spirit and energy were boundless. She will be incredibly missed.
Rosina is predeceased by her husband, Pietro; her eldest son, Anthony and her grandson, Christopher.
She is survived by her daughters, Rita (Michael) Durfey of San Diego, Marisa (Joseph) Santaro of Manlius, Peter (Betty) of Fayetteville and Joseph of Los Angeles; grandchildren, Michael, Alessandra, Alana, Nicholas, Anthony, Meaghan, Amanda, Kristina, Hannah, Julia, and Samantha; sisters in Italy, Erminia Calamonici and Maria Colabraro, along with many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Michele and Amy and a host of skilled caregivers whose patience and kindness were critical in helping Rosa get thru a difficult time.
