Roy P. Moro's Obituary
Roy P. Moro, 73, of Syracuse, passed away December 12, 2018 at Crouse Hospital. He was born in Londonderry, Ireland, son of the late Thomas D. and Patricia (Tait) Moro. Roy served in the U.S. Army from 1962-1964. He worked as a Financial Advisor and Planner.
Roy loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed time in Florida and fishing especially with his grandson Devon. Roy was a great cook who also appreciated a good glass of wine.
He was predeceased by his step-daughter, Cara L. DeSiro and brother, Thomas F. Moro.
Roy is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Maria (Millacci) Moro; his daughter, Shelley Baker of MD; step-daughter, Carla A. DeSiro of Syracuse; three grandchildren, Gabriella Baker, Gina Baker and Devon DeSiro-Camber, brothers, Ed (Charlette) Moro, Nick Moro, and Rick (Lori) Moro; two sisters, Patty (Mike Giddings) Bombardo and Deirdre Esposito (John Sessler); several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 11 am – 12:30 pm at Blessed Sacrament Church, 3127 James St., Syracuse, NY, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Roy’s life at 1:00 pm in Blessed Sacrament Church. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
