Rudolph "Rudy" Frascatore 's Obituary
Rudolph “Rudy” Frascatore, 85, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, July 14, 2018.
He is predeceased by his parents, Marco and Anna (Salvione) Frascatore; sister, Gilda DiMassimo and brother, Arnold “Tony” Frascatore.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 54 years, Mary (LaRusso) Frascatore; children, Anna (Edward) Ragonese of Baldwinsville, NY, Linda (Timothy) Race of Cicero, NY, Marc (Andrea) Frascatore of Clay, NY and four granddaughters - Brianna and Maria Ragonese, Miranda and Marisa Frascatore; his brother, Patrick (Marion) Frascatore, along with several nieces and nephews.
Rudy graduated from North High School and served in the US Army during the Korean War. He retired as an electrician from General Electric after 38 years. He enjoyed gardening, bowling and golfing and was an avid fan of SU basketball and the NY Yankees. Rudy was happiest when spending time with family. He was a kind and gentle soul – “Once a gentleman, and always a gentleman”.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, July 20, 2018 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, North Syracuse. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends during calling hours on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
