Ruth Ida Meyers' Obituary
Ruth Ida (Davis) Meyers, 90, passed away December 29, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital in Boise, Idaho. She was born in Newburg, NY the daughter of the late David and Caroline (Bohm) Davis. Ruth was an avid walker and gardener who enjoyed spending time outdoors. She enjoyed cooking, waiting on and spoiling her family who meant everything to her.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Robert B. Meyers in 1997, 2 brothers, Dave Davis and Robert Davis; 4 sisters, Caroline Sharpe, Hilda Dreher, Katherine Kaupp and Helen Bartlett.. Ruth is survived by her 5 children, John (Diane) Meyers of South Onondaga, Linda (Ronald) Schultz of Syracuse, Richard (Suzanne) Meyers of North Syracuse, Thomas (Juli) Meyers of Vista, CA and Christine (Kenneth) Zacharias of Boise, ID; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, Dorothy Warner of Skaneateles, Willa (Bud) Berube of Alabama, Barbara (Paul) Russo of Wolcott, NY and Shirley Merritt of Syracuse along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Dewitt. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
