Ruth (Lutz) Rinefierd's Obituary
Ruth (Lutz) Rinefierd, 84, of Liverpool, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Karl and Irma (Hoenig) Lutz. Ruth was employed with John Warner Ins. Co. for many years. She formed and led “Let The Spirit Move You”, a dance exercise class at St. Margaret’s Church. Ruth also enjoyed sewing and wintering in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
She is predeceased by two sisters, Luzia Muller and Louise Murphy; her brother George Lutz and grandchildren, Joshua and Erica Bridenbaker.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Herman J. Rinefierd, four daughters, Mary (Edward) Knee of Vero Beach, FL., Susan (William) Rowe of Middletown, NJ, Marjorie Baxter of Liverpool, and Lisa (Joseph) Piraino of Cicero; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her brother, Karl (Carol) Lutz of Lyncourt; her sister, Diane (Louise) Lutz and her husband Joe Zader of Tully; her sisters-in-law Alice Rinefierd of Liverpool, Dorothy Martin of Brewerton, Kitty (Jack) Verrette of Liverpool, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Ruth’s life at 10:00 am in St. Margaret’s Church, Mattydale. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
