Ryszard "Richard" Jakubowski's Obituary
Ryszard A. “Richard” Jakubowski, 77, of Liverpool, NY, passed away at home on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 surrounded by family. He was born in Poland, son of the late Franciszek and Helena Jakubowski. Richard served in the Polish Navy and Merchant Marines. He came to the U.S. in 1982, met his wife Maria and together, raised their son David. Richard worked at various factories over the years in Syracuse. Richard always had a sense of humor and light-heartiness that will be missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria (Bajorek)Jakubowski; his son, David Jakubowski; his brother and sisters in Poland, along with many nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 11 am – 12 pm, followed by a Funeral Service in celebration of Richard’s life at noon in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Burial will follow in North Syracuse Cemetery.
