Sadie R. (Schirmo) Deyulio's Obituary
Sadie R. (Schirmo) Deyulio, age 105, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Syracuse Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Sicily, Italy, daughter of the late Anthony and Emanuella (Intorella) Schirmo. Sadie emigrated to the U.S. and worked in the office at Learbury for many years. She was a devout Catholic. Sadie enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Michael Deyulio in 1988 and siblings, Anthony Schirmo and Josephine Schirmo.
Sadie is survived by her three sons, Michael “Dey” (Catherine) Deyulio, Richard (Lee) Deyulio and Joseph (Kathleen) Deyulio; eight grandchildren, Michael Deyulio, Jr., Valerie, Rick and Nick Deyulio, Chris Barnes, Thomas Jones, David (Karen) Jones and Wendy (Jeff) Dromms; eight great-grandchildren, Nicole DeYulio, Kaylee Jones, Gavin and Chloe Stonger, Michael and Breanna Jones, Zachary and Andrew Barnes, along with several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY, followed by a funeral Mass in celebration of Sadie’s life at 12:00 P.M. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 3494 Rt. 31, Baldwinsville, NY. She will be laid to rest in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
