Salvatore J. "Sal" Cardella's Obituary
Salvatore J. “Sal” Cardella, 83, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at the Francis House surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 31, 2015. A native of Jersey City, NJ, he resided in the Syracuse area for the past 64 years. Sal was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was employed by General Electric for 38 years before his retirement.
Sal is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Gloria A. (Speach) Cardella; her son, Thomas J. (Rhonda) Cardella of Milwaukee, WI., his two daughters, Anita M. Cardella of South Amboy, NJ and Lisa A. (Sarah) Cardella of Baldwinsville; five grandchildren, Karina, Marissa, Alaina, Trevor and Alexandra; his sister, Marie Cepiel of NJ, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Sal’s life at 11:30 AM in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, February 6, 2015 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse.
