Salvatore Cerullo, Sr.'s Obituary
Salvatore Cerullo, Sr., 84, of Warners, NY, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Italy, son of the late Pasquale and Maria (Grillona) Cerullo.
Salvatore was a self-employed Mason Contractor for many years. He was a longtime communicant of Holy Family Church in Fairmount. Salvatore was a devout Catholic and attended mass daily; dedicating much of his time giving back to the church and his religion. He loved his family, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his son, Paul G. “Shorty” Cerullo; his brother Frank, and sister Antoinetta.
Salvatore is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Antoinetta (Rachetta) Cerullo; five children, Pasquale Cerullo, Salvatore Cerullo, Jr., Maria McGrath, Gregory (Wendy) Cerullo, and Anna Cerullo; 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Anthony and Gregory Cerullo; daughter-in-law, Cindy Cerullo, along with several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Salvatore’s life will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Holy Family Church in Fairmount. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, DeWitt. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
