Salvatore A. "Sam" Gatto's Obituary
Salvatore A. (Sam) Gatto of Liverpool passed away peacefully Friday at his home. A life resident, he was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church. He was a member of the Salina Seniors, enjoyed trips to the casino's and playing bingo. Sam was an avid New York Yankee Fan. His Wife Florence (Sofia) Gatto passed away in 2004. He had been employed by the New Process Gear Division of the Chrysler Corporation for 33 years before retiring in 1983. He also served in the US Army during World War II.
He is survived by his son: Anthony (Sharon) Gatto, of Syracuse, his daughter: Roseanne (Gene) Cheetham, of Liverpool, 4 grandchildren: Anthony, Heather, Nicholas and Patrick. A Brother: Joseph Gatto, of Liverpool, a sister: Mary Gatto ,of Syracuse, and a Sister-in-law: Isabelle Pagano, of Johnstown, NY. Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00AM Tuesday in the Thomas J. Pirro Jr. Funeral Home. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 3401 Vickery Rd.(Corner of Buckley Rd.), North Syracuse, Monday from 4 to 7 P.M.
