Salvatore J. "Sam" Spuches' Obituary
Salvatore J. “Sam” Spuches, 95, of Liverpool, passed away May 18, 2026 at Onondaga Center in Minoa, NY. He was born in North Syracuse, NY, son of the late James and Josephine (Tornabene) Spuches. Sam was the owner and operator of Sam’s Produce and sold produce at the CNY Regional Market for many years. He enjoyed word search puzzles and was an avid S.U. and Yankees fan.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by 9 siblings.
Sam is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Rose M. (Fusillo) Spuches; his daughter, Jacqueline DePaulis Fiumano (Jarret Fiumano); two grandchildren, Ryan DePaulis and Danielle DePaulis (Maarten Dane); siblings, Mary Cavallaro, John Spuches and Margie Spuches; several nieces and nephews, and his beloved Golden Doodle, Mickey.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 from 9 – 10:30 am at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY, followed by a funeral Mass in celebration of Sam’s life at 11:30 am in Epiphany Parish, 1001 Tulip St., Liverpool, NY. He will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, DeWitt.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Epiphany Parish or Onondaga Center Rehabilitation, 217 East Ave., Minoa, NY 13116.
