Happy Father's Day Dad,
You are the love of my life! I've adored you since I was a little girl. As I grew older I came to not only adore you but respect you as well. You were my strength when I was weak and taught me to be independent. You will never die, but live forever in my heart and my mind.
My beautiful father, I love you.
I'll miss our talks of Sam's life...Sam was very proud of his life & family & I'll always cherish the things I learned from him...
Say hello to Ernie when you meet up with him in a better place...I will miss you Sam..
Your friend, Joe DEredita
Grandpa-
It was usually a Sunday morning when the Martino children made the journey to your house to find out what was the latest "situation"! I have such fond and warm memories of sitting in the kitchen having coffee and sweets, talking to you and grandma about what was new and exciting in our lives. There was always fun gossip and laughter, and sometimes even a lesson learned.
I'll miss you, grandpa, but I am thankful that you and grandma can now look out for each other.
Love you
Beth
Barb,
My heart goes out to you and your brother. Your father made the last few years the happiest years my mom has had in a long time. They would talk on the phone at least 3 times a day, and it didn't matter who was on the other line, she had to hang up immediately to talk to Sam. The last time my mom went to visit your dad, he met me in Ithaca to pick her up. I will never forget how happy they both looked to see each other, as they walked as fast as they could to hug each other. Your dad was the greatest person on earth according to my mom, and I thought alot of him too. If there is anything we can do, please don't hesitate to call.
Sincerely, Patti Carstens
IT WAS MY PLEASURE TO HAVE MET SAM MAY GOD BLESS AND MY PRAYERS GO OUT TO ALL HIS FAMILY WHO ALWAYS HELPED ME ESP. ART AND PAT AND THIER FAMILY AT TARVIA SEAL
Uncle Sammy, a few of the things I will always remember is when our dog Mitzie died you brought us to Pet Haven Cemetery to show us where yours and Aunt Madeline's dog, (Lady) was. Also, when I was in high school, I worked at T.J. Maxx and I remember Aunt Madeline being there as much or more than I. She would show me all the named brand clothes in her cart and tell me what they would cost somewhere else and what a great deal she was getting. But, right after she would tell me about all the great deals, she wouldn't forget to say, "if you see Uncle Sam,don't tell him you seen me shopping.")
We all know you made a closest out of one of your bedrooms for all the clothes and shoes she had. P.S.....Aunt Madeline, I think Uncle Sam knew..
Another memory I will have is walking into Mom and Dad's house, while Dad was talking with you on the phone. He would have it on speaker and at first I would think OMG what is that? All I knew was it was loud and sounded like people were arguing! By the time I got into the kitchen it was just you and Dad having a NORMAL conversation. Well, as normal as normal could be with two brothers that could not hear.
Now, it is your time to be with Aunt Madeline and I'm sure by now, she will need you to build her an even bigger closest!
Love, your niece Patty
