Santana Jaylee "Tana" Cheek's Obituary
Santana Jaylee “Tana” Cheek, 20, of Rochester, passed away at home on Sunday, March 19, 2023. Santana was a make-up enthusiast, she loved applying make-up to herself and others. She also loved the color yellow; it will always be associated with Tana and her bright personality, and most importantly, a very proud Aunt.
She is predeceased by her maternal grandfather, George H. Burke, her paternal grandmother, Joan Dishaw, and her paternal grandfather, Thomas E. Cheek.
Tana is survived by her parents, Jeffrey Cheek and Desiree Murray; her siblings, Bronsyn A. Isaacs, Valencia L. Cheek, and Jeffrey J. Gibson; her maternal grandmother, Deborah L. Burke; her maternal great-grandmother, Marlene M. Nolan; her nieces, Phoenix A. Isaacs, Anahliah A. Thompson, and Jinora Gibson; her pet, Chai; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Diana Arnold, Santana’s kidney donor.
Visitation will take place from 11:00 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. on Monday, March 27, 2023 immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Tana’s life at 12:30 P.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. Burial will follow in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
