Santo A. "Sam" Napoli's Obituary
Santo A. “Sam” Napoli, 89, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Bishop Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Anthony and Rose Marie (Chiarmonte) Napoli. Sam was a U.S. Navy veteran, and proudly served nearly 5 years aboard the USS Macon. He worked over 30 years for Onondaga County WEP. He was an avid hunter and bowler. Most of all, Sam enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his beloved grandchildren.
Sam is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Grace (Catalano) Napoli; two sons, Anthony Napoli (Marla Caiello) and Paul (Kimberly) Napoli; two daughters, Rosemarie (Gregory) Bowen and Theresa Napoli; 13 grandchildren, Elizabeth (Ray), Keith (Maria), Paul Michael (Stephanie), Megan, Jeffrey (Stacy), Sean (Jillian), Joseph, Phillip, Nicholas (Erin), Eric, Anthony (Ashley), Emily (Logan) and Max; 16 great-grandchildren; his sister, Joanne Koslowski; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Sam’s life at 10:00 am in St. Margaret’s Church, Mattydale. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, DeWitt. Family and friends may call from 4:00 -7:00 pm on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
