Sharon K. (LaGrow) Clute's Obituary
Sharon K. (LaGrow) Clute, 72, formerly of Manlius, NY, passed away on July 18, 2016 at Moses-Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC, after an extended illness. Sharon was born on August 10, 1943 to the late Roy and Lottie LaGrow. Sharon was the 3rd youngest of 8 children, five of which have preceded her in death; Roy LaGrow, Jr., James (Larry) LaGrow, Joe LaGrow, Jean Parro, and Bonnie Grotton. Sharon enjoyed life, was loving and kind. She enjoyed playing cards, especially pitch, playing Pogo games with her daughter-in-law, bowling, watching the New York Mets, SU basketball, and a love of animals.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Al Clute of High Point, NC; her sons, Brian Cook (Sue) of Manlius, NY, and Chad Cook of Hamilton, NY; her step-son, Steve Clute of High Point, NC; two sisters, Joan Searle of Baldwinsville, NY and Veronica (Carl) Osier of Liverpool, NY, along with several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, followed by a funeral service in celebration of Sharon’s life at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A gathering will be held immediately following the service at the VFW Post #7290, 105 Maxwell Ave., N. Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CNY SPCA, or the American Lung Association.
