Sharon Marie Van Patten's Obituary
Sharon Marie Van Patten, 48, a lifelong resident of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at home with her mother by her side on Sunday, May 3, 2020 after fighting a long, but courageous, battle with lung cancer for 4 years. Sharon was born on Christmas Eve in 1971 and attended Fowler High School and held various jobs throughout her life. She worked mainly as a hostess, server, and bartender over the last 25 years and had a lot of passion for it. Sharon will always be remembered as a kind-hearted, generous, and compassionate woman, who left an impact on numerous lives along her journey on this Earth. She had immense love and appreciation for her loving family and close friends, especially during her time of need. She was determined to not let cancer get the best of her and gave it her all, right up to the end. She will be deeply missed and kept in the hearts of so many.
Sharon is survived by her caring parents, James and Charlotte Van Patten; her son, who meant the world to her, Cory Hart (Todd Davison); her siblings, Theresa (Anthony) Austin and Todd (Nicole) Van Patten; her niece, Sheyanna Austin; her nephew, Baron Van Patten; her great niece, Aiyla Osorio; her close friends, Kevin Deegan, Sarah Kimber, Lisa Mikels and members of the Hart family, and longtime family friend, Laurie Kline.
