Sheila A. (Marsala) Resch's Obituary
Sheila A. Resch, 66, of Bernhard’s Bay, NY, passed away Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born in Syracuse. Sheila ran her own ceramic school, nail salon, as well as being a nurse for many years. She was an avid reader and taught confirmation classes at St. Mary & St. Bernadette Church in Cleveland, NY. Sheila was a strong, caring and loving person who always put others first before herself. Most importantly, she loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her father, Charles Marsala.
Sheila is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Richard J. Resch, Sr., whom they referred to each other as “McPielie and Piels”. She also leaves behind her four children, Richard (Pam) Resch, Jr., Scott (Lydia) Resch, Chad (Traci) Resch and Todd (Cassie) Resch; 11 grandchildren; her mother, Minnie (Monterville) Marsala; her brother, Charles (Yvonne) Marsala; her sister, Terry (John) DeFrancisco, along with many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Sheila’s life will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at The Mission of St. Bernadette Church in Constantia, NY. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday, January 25, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Spring burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cleveland.
