I heard only last night that my dear friend and colleague has passed.
To her family I'd like to say how badly I feel for all of you having lost first your dad and now your mother also. Having spoken to her just after your father's passing I know she was wondering what would come next for her and that she felt secure in your love and support.
Just a week or so ago I called to catch up and got no answer. My message should be on her phone. Now I know why and can't tell you how deeply saddened I am. She was truly such a warm and caring person and did so much good for those we both met through the SPAN program as she guided us as facilitators, until her retirement, in the way in which we could help others. We didn't see each other often since I live just outside of Buffalo, but we would talk every few months.
I will miss knowing that she is just a phone call away.
