Simone Tindaro Faliti's Obituary
Simone Tindaro Faliti, of Kirkville, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2022, just one day after his 92nd birthday. Born on October 19, 1930, in Furnari, Italy, he emigrated to the United States in 1996 to marry his childhood sweetheart, Marie. During their 25 years of marriage, Tindaro danced, sang, played his trumpet, and gardened using the small rototiller he dismantled and transported from Italy in a suitcase. Though he was proud to be a naturalized citizen of the US, he delighted in his native Italian culture and was a member of the Order Sons & Daughters of Italy in America, Progresso Lodge #1047. He enjoyed visiting his children in Italy and loved talking to them each time they called.
Simone is predeceased by his parents Giuseppina (Perroni) and Giovanni Faliti, his brothers, Filippo, Franco and Salvatore, and Theresa, the mother of his children.
He is survived by his wife, Marie (DiNatale) Annese Faliti, his children, Giuseppina, Domenica, Giovanni and Francesca; his grandchildren, Mariangela Maggio, Maria Theresa and Giuseppe Rosselli, and Gianmarco and Vittoria Pratti; his sisters, Anna and Francesca; Marie’s children, Vincent and Marnie Annese; Marie’s granddaughter, Jamie Lin Annese; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will take place from 4 – 6 pm on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. A funeral mass in celebration of Tindaro’s life will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Bridgeport. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
