Stanley J. "Stan" Colella, 86, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at the Francis House surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Stanley and Assunta (Dettor) Colella. Stan was a US Read Obituary

Grace and Sue, I'm so sorry to hear about Stan's passing. I was out of town and just started going thru the paper. Please know you both are in my thoughts and prayers. I first met the two of you and Stan at Paradise Market listening to Frankie Michaels. I had been there by myself and Stan invited me to join your table. I loved watching you dance! I remembered seeing you at Turning Stone before I met you and enjoyed chatting with you at the Carnegie Cafe and at my 50th B-day party where Frankie played. Having met you some 25+ yrs ago, you were always quick with a joke and always singing. Coming to your house was always a treat, hearing stories of the "old days" and seeing the photos of past yrs, Stan you'll be missed more than you know.
To darling Grace, and Suzanne, we want to express our deepest sympathy and love. We so loved watching you and Stan dance at the Moose. No other couple captured our hearts more than the both of you. Stan was a wonderful man who always had kind words, a joke or just a good listener. We are so sorry we can't be there to tell you personally how sad we are. Know that we think of you often and the fun we had at dances around town, we're certain Stan took his dancing shoes with him.
