Stanley Ukrainec's Obituary
Stanley Ukrainec, 92, of Cicero, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse and was a WWII U.S. Army veteran. Stanley retired in 1984, after 37 years of service with General Electric. He enjoyed many trips to Disney World, playing golf and bowling. Stanley loved Polish food and Twin Trees III. He also enjoyed talking about the history of Syracuse. But most of all, Stanley loved spending time with family and friends. He was a very kind and caring husband, father and friend-the very best.
He was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Karoline Ukrainec; sisters, Stephanie Ukrainec and Mary Tanury and his beloved cat, Jasmine. Stanley is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rose (Sorokac) Ukrainec; his daughters, Roseann (Robert) Robbins and Paula Ukrainec; sisters, Josephine Charuk and Olympia Usher; brother, John (Betty) Ukrainec along with many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass in celebration of Stanley's life will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, Cicero. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Chittenango, NY. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Association of CNY, 4915 1/2 West Taft Road, Liverpool, NY 13088 or to Anna's Pantry at Sacred Heart Church, Cicero.
