Stella (Lotito) Churchio's Obituary
Stella (Lotito) Churchio, 92, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Central Park Nursing Home. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Nicola and Theresa (Volza) Lotito. Stella was a decorator and retired from Onondaga Pottery, “Syracuse China”. She was also an excellent cook and avid gardener.
Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Joseph Churchio in 1989; two brothers, Joseph and Frank Lotito; four sisters, Laura Polichemi, Rose Bellomo, Carmela Carno and Anna Carno.
Stella is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 8:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a funeral mass in celebration of Stella’s life at 9:00 am in St. Daniel’s Church. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
