Stella R. (Cappelletti) Lansing's Obituary
Stella R. (Cappelletti) Lansing, 88, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Upstate University Hospital, Community Campus. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Frances Cappelletti. Stella was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard C. Lansing in 2009; her two sisters, Loretta and Anna; five brothers, Jack, Thomas, Nicholas, Lawrence and Cosmo.
Stella is survived by her two sons, Richard L. Lansing of Liverpool and Daniel Lansing of Syracuse; three daughters, Diane Lansing of Syracuse, Elaine Lansing of Syracuse and MaryAnn (Robert) Michelson of Liverpool; two grandchildren, Christopher King and Nicholas Lansing; two brothers, John Cappelletti and Frank (Joan) Cappelletti; two sisters, Dolly (Peter) Asterino and Josephine DeRegis; many nieces and nephews.
Stella’s family would like to thank the 5th floor staff at Van Duyn for their loving care and compassion.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Stella’s life will be held at 9:00 am on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at St. Daniel’s Church. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to CNY Alzheimer’s Association, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
