Stella M. (Pompo) Natalizio's Obituary
Stella M. (Pompo) Natalizio, 87, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of Joseph and Genevieve Pompo. Stella was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church and a member of Our Lady of Pompei Seniors. She was employed with Big M on Court Street for 20 years. Stella enjoyed traveling to the casinos with her nieces. She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas J. "Nicky Naze" Sr. in 2003; 3 brothers and 6 sisters. Stella is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Terry) Morgan of Syracuse; her son, Nicholas J. (Judy) Natalizio Jr. of Clay; 6 grandchildren, Nicholas, Brian, Gina, Megan, Michael and Joey; a great-granddaughter, Madison; two sisters, Emma Scalione and Theresa Azzoto, both of Syracuse; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 8:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 9:00 am in St. John the Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Stella's family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the staff of St. Joseph's Hospital, SICU and 2-4 units. Contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Church or St. Joseph's Hospital, SICU unit, 301 Prospect Avenue, Syracuse, NY.
