Stella (Biasi) Racciatti's Obituary
Stella (Biasi) Racciatti, age 81, of Cicero, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, January 18, 2014. She was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Labbate) Biasi. Stella was employed with Learbury's Clothing, Crouse Hinds and was a self-employed entrepreneur for 51 years who managed many real estate properties. She had a knack of putting people at ease, making them feel her gentle and trustworthy nature. Stella was a giving and loving person, always willing to share her wonderful cooking with family and friends. She enjoyed family gatherings at her home, where she loved preparing special dinners.
She was predeceased by her husband, Girolamo "Gerry" Racciatti in 2010 and her daughter-in-law, Helen Racciatti in 2011. Stella is survived by 2 sons, Dante Racciatti of Cicero and Marco (Lisa) Racciatti of Bridgeport; a daughter, Elisa (William) White of Liverpool; 7 grandchildren, Mario, Carmen, Dante, Jennifer, Anthony, Mitchell and Maxwell; 5 great-grandchildren; 7 siblings, Frank (Jackie) Biasi of Liverpool, Vito (Audrey) Biasi of Wilkes-Barre, PA, Angela DiDomenico of Liverpool, Mario (Lucretia) Biasi of Naples, FL., Anna (Nicholas) Bernardini of Liverpool, Antoinette (John) Tubbert of Liverpool and John Biasi of Liverpool along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 8:30 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 9:30 am in Sacred Heart Church, Cicero. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
