Stephana A. (Mollica) Laury's Obituary
Stephana A. (Mollica) Laury, 95, of N. Syracuse, passed away peacefully at Francis House on February 15, 2022. She was born in Syracuse, where she met and married the love of her life John, and in 1960 they moved to New Jersey to raise their family. Stephana started working at Macy’s and was very active in the VFW, at times, held position of president of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 3616. In 1976 they moved to Mechanicsburg, PA, where she continued to work in retail, and was very active alongside her husband in their new church. In 1986, they moved back to Upstate, NY, and settled on DeRuyter Lake. She worked at Dey Bros. and was active with St. James Church in Cazenovia. Stephana was an original volunteer at Francis House through 2017 and was a regular donator to the Turning Stone Casino.
She was predeceased by her parents, Philip and Nancy (Albanese) Mollica, and her husband, John A. Laury, Jr. in 2003.
Stephana is survived by two sons, John P. Laury and Edward (Kathleen) Laury; her daughter, Nancy (Ken) Schoener; 7 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church of Cicero, 8229 Brewerton Rd., Cicero, NY, with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208.
