Stephen J. Underwood's Obituary
Stephen J. Underwood, 63, of North Syracuse, went to be with His Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 28, with his devoted wife Marnie by his side. Steve was tremendously strong and courageous through his 4 year battle with brain cancer.
Steve previously served in the National Guard. He was the owner and operator of Superior Construction, Inc. Steve enjoyed riding his motorcycle, boating, fishing, gardening and playing his banjo. He loved spending time with his granddaughters and was always full of laughter and fun. He was a loving, gentle and kind man to all that were blessed enough to know him.
He was predeceased by his father, James Underwood. Steve is survived by his loving wife, Marnie (Bills) Underwood; his two children, Tracy (Josh) Caryl of Marcellus and Jason Underwood of Syracuse; his two granddaughters, Mia and Ava Caryl; his mother, Freda Underwood of Liverpool; siblings, Julie, Debbie, Peter and David along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
