Steven M. Copani's Obituary
Steven M. Copani, 52, of Syracuse, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016. Steve was born in Syracuse and was the owner and operator of Conan’s Gym for over 30 years. He enjoyed weight training and earned several medals and trophies while participating in the Empire State Games. Steve also loved boxing and cars; and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially with his son Jake and beloved daughter Mia.
He was predeceased by his father, Salvatore “Sam” Copani in 2015.
Steve is survived by his wife of 17 years, Tracie (Lutz) Copani; his son, Jake L. Copani; his daughter, Mia Copani; his mother, Joanne (Zipeto) Copani; two brothers, John (Nora) Copani and David Copani; one sister, Kathleen (Richard) Charland, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse; followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Steven’s life at 1:00 pm in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool.
