Steve brought smiles and inspiration to our home every 3 weeks when he swung in to get a haircut. Many times he would stay longer to help Cole and Austin with their math homework. He was a wizard in math!
He would say, “Are you done yet?” ... “Do you know what you’re doing?” His joking showed how energetic and fun he was! He always made us smile and laugh!
He was a great friend, the kind that you call a brother and an uncle to my boys. Steve, you will be missed and always loved as you live on in our memories and conversations. We send our love and support to Cindy and Nicolette. All our love~Jeremy, Rose, Cole & Austin Hartman

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Steve was fantastic individual, who will be missed dearly by so many. His presence will be missed by every community that he was part of, especially St. Lawrence Park. I will always reflect fondly on every conversation that he and I had, as he taught us all so much of how to treat every individual with the respect that we all deserve. Again I am extremely sorry to hear this news, and I feel terrible that I was unable to attend.

All my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this heartfelt time. I knew Steven from coming into the Town of Alexandria office during construction of your summer home. Every time he would come in he always brought a box filled with assorted fruits and bananas. When I would see Steven in the Bay he would always say hi. He was so kind and giving.
