Steven G. "Weaver" May's Obituary
Steven G. “Weaver” May, 48, of Oswego, passed away January 2, 2016. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Thomas and Gloria May. Weaver received his Associates degree from SUNY Canton in Mortuary Science and became a Licensed Funeral Director working with the Pirro family for over 15 years before becoming the owner and operator of May’s Polynesian Motel in Scriba. Weaver was a bat boy with the Syracuse Chiefs and was an avid race fan and supporter of the Oswego Speedway and a sponsor of Four Seven Motorsports, teams of Mike and Bob Bond. He was also a former volunteer fireman with Moyers Corners Fire Department. Most of all Weaver valued his family and was a loving brother, friend and proud father to his four children who he dedicated his life to.
Weaver is survived by his four beloved children, Celine, Mickey, Orlando and Elvis May; his two brothers, Gerald May and Scott May, along with aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Weaver’s life will be conducted by Rev. Daniel Caruso at noon on Monday, January 11, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum with his parents.
