Stewart A. Scott III's Obituary
Stewart A. Scott III, 69, of Syracuse, passed away on Thursday at the VA Medical Center. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Frances Easton and Stewart A. Scott II. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968 – 1971, which included one tour in Vietnam. Stewart worked at the Harrison House. He enjoyed watching the NY Yankees, fishing and golf. He is predeceased by his daughter, Kathleen Scott.
Stewart is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joanne (Kaufman) Scott; his son, Timothy Scott; his daughter, Christine (Robert) Hamilton; two grandchildren, Gavin and Rowan Hamilton; his sister, Susan Cross; his brother, Fred (Robin) Scott; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 10 am – 1 pm, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Stewart’s life at 1 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Burial will follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Upstate Cancer Center or VA Medical Center.
