Susan Dudevski's Obituary
Susan Dudevski, 70, of Camillus, N.Y., passed away peacefully July 19, 2019, at Crouse Hospital, surrounded by family. Born in Kumanovo, Macedonia, Sept. 4, 1948, she immigrated to the U.S. in 1957 with her father and mother, Alex and Milica (Yankulovich) Dudevski, and her brothers, Sam and Zoran. The Dudevskis settled in Syracuse, where they were reunited with their extended Yankulovich family. Susan graduated from Henninger High School and went on to study Psychology at Syracuse University. She married Dimitar (Jimmy) Milev and had two daughters. Together, the couple opened Students Choice, a gift shop in Marshal Square.
In subsequent years, Susan opened a diner in Camillus, Sue’s Country Kitchen, where she cooked for and fed many locals, friends and family members. During that time, she also acquired the cleaning business, Squeeky Kleen. After selling her diner, Susan continued to manage her cleaning business, and added caring for the elderly to her line of work. For 20 years she patiently and lovingly attended to the well-being of her clients and their families. She had a special gift for caring for babies and the elderly.
Sue was devoted to her family and to the teachings of the Bible. She became “Ma” to many of her daughters’ friends and loved them each as if they were her own. She loved to go out to eat, attend concerts, entertain in the backyard, and travel. She had a green thumb and took great joy in caring for her plants.
She is predeceased by her brother Sam, her father, former husband, Dimitar, great-grandson, Wyatt Bonnell, her brother Zoran, and her mother.
Sue is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Milev of New Jersey, and Jacquelyn Milev of Florida; sons-in-law, Fred (Jennifer) Bonnell and Michael (Jacquelyn) Scott; grandchildren, Sidney Bonnell, Benjamin Bonnell and Madison Scott; nieces and a nephew, Alexandra Dudevski, Sam Dudevski, Bozanna Miranovic, Ivana Miranovic and Kristina Moranovic.
