Susan F. Malinowski's Obituary
Susan F. (Sturgis) Malinowski, 70, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Thursday at Crouse Hospital. Born in Albany, the daughter of Joseph and Adeline (Andreola) Sturgis. She was a hardworking and very dedicated woman. Susan was a graduate and valedictorian of Cardinal McCloskey High School. She spent 28 years as a banquet waitress, retiring from the Holiday Inn in 2008. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and her family was always put first in her life. Susan was also an avid shopper, who loved to dance, travel, but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren who were her pride and joy. Her smile was always contagious and she had a heart big enough to share anything with anyone. Susan was a 5 time cancer survivor, beating several strains of the disease over the years.
She is predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert J. Malinowksi, Sr., she is also survived by 2 children, Robert J. Malinowski, Jr. of Liverpool, Jill C. (John M. Murphy) Malinowski of Clay; her sister, Patricia (William) Gathen of Albany, her brother, Joseph (Denise) Sturgis of Albany, her 2 grandchildren, Gabriel S. Murphy and Christian J. Murphy of Clay as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 am on Monday February 16, 2015 in the THOMAS J. PIRRO, JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Road, North Syracuse, NY. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 15 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the funeral home 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley) North Syracuse. In lieu of flowers,
