Suzanne M. (Morgan) Huntress' Obituary
Our beloved angel, Suzanne M. [Morgan] Huntress passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. Sue is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ronald J. Huntress and four children; Ronald J. Huntress [Sue Ann], Mark F. Huntress [Susan], MarySue Kurz [Charles] and Cheryl Huntress. Sue had nine grandchildren [Autumn, Cassie, Kimmie, Chrissy, Natalie, Noah, Ashley, Evan and Austin] and four great- grandchildren [Derrick, Declan, Dawson and Kyra Mae]. Sue was born in Syracuse on June 21, 1936 on the most appropriate day, as the first day of Summer fits her sunny disposition perfectly!
Born to Howard F. and Margaret B. Morgan, Sue happily attended Assumption Academy, graduating in 1954. Sue graduated one year later from CCBI and began her career as a Medical Secretary. Sue worked with the late Doctor William G. Peacher for 16 years and then with the late Doctor Sunder M. Iqbal for 25 years until her retirement. Although Sue was a 30+ year cancer survivor, she never let cancer define her nor did she let it get the best of her kind spirit. Sue chose to live life to the fullest and was happy to lovingly care for her little dogs over the years. But Sue saved the biggest part of her heart for her family and friends. Sue loved her family fiercely and her presence in them has been a gift to all of them. Sue will be greatly missed but Heaven needed her home. May she always sleep in Heavenly peace.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 am on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Suzanne’s life at 9:30 am in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 1:00 – 4:00 pm on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
