Terrence "Terry" O'Connor's Obituary
Terrence “Terry” O’Connor, of Syracuse, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025 at Crouse Hospital. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Robert and Georgianna O’Connor. Terry was a Sr. Financial Advisor at Principal Financial Group, retiring after 30 + dedicated years. He enjoyed golfing, landscaping, carpentry and helping others.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his siblings, Robert O’Connor, Janet Wheeler, and Rosemary “Tiny” Murphy.
Terry is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Kathleen (Fisselbrand) O’Connor; his children, Shannon (Freddy) Batallas, Sean (Ruth Ann) O’Connor, Patrick (Katie) O’Connor and Ryan O’Connor; five grandchildren, Patrick (Brianna) O’Connor, Zachary (Lexi) O’Connor, Madeline Sears, Elisa Batallas and Payton O’Connor; four great-grandchildren, Rosalind, Olivia and Harvey O’Connor, Genevieve Dowell; his brother, Kevin (Coleen) O’Connor; his cherished dog, Nibbles, along with many nieces and nephews.
Terry had a positive impact on everyone he knew. He was the guiding light for so many people, friends and family alike. He is now the guardian angel to continue looking over and protecting all of us.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Terry’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at St. Michael & St. Peter Church, 4781 West Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, NY 13215.
