Terry L. Sharpe's Obituary
Terry L. Sharpe, 65, of Syracuse, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by his family and cherished grandchildren, Chase and Avery. Terry was born in Massena, NY, son of Philip and Vivian (Sellars) Sharpe.
Terry was a U.S. Air Force veteran, and an accomplished cook at local restaurants around Syracuse, including Partners Restaurant, Gardenview Diner and the American Diner.
Terry’s greatest joy was cooking for his friends and patrons whom visited him regularly at work. He enjoyed many trips back home to Waddington, NY, to visit his mother and to fish “his” St. Lawrence River. Recent years found him enjoying all the time he could with his grandchildren and playing cards with family, friends and a loyal group of Hospice care workers.
Terry is predeceased by his father, Philip Sharpe and his sister, Shirley (Sharpe) Ashley.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Cheryl (Sprague) Sharpe; three children, Christopher and Jaime (Jones) Sharpe, Nicole Sharpe, and Alexander (Brandi Merrill) Sharpe; two grandchildren, Chase and Avery Sharpe; his mother, Vivian (Sellars) Sharpe; four brothers, Wayne Sharpe, Randy (Sherry) Sharpe, Michael (Lisa) Sharpe, and Jamie (Jodi) Sharpe;
three sisters, Joann Murray, Sandi Sharpe, and Patti (Scott) Castagnier; several aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 4:00 - 6:30 pm, immediately followed by a funeral service and reflections at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
