Terry Lee Vaught's Obituary
Terry Lee Vaught, 54, of Clay, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 3, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Michigan and was a graduate of Niagara College. After graduating, Terry went on to become a Claims Manager for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for over 25 years. Terry had a passion for coaching his children and others and being around basketball, especially Bishop Grimes. He enjoyed golf and was an avid Michigan, Yankee, Unity Wildcats and SU fan.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Nancy Ann (Oustrich) Vaught; his two beloved children, Zachary and Jordan Vaught of Clay; his parents, Glenn and Belle Vaught of East Syracuse; two brothers, Dennis Vaught of Florida and Ron Vaught of East Syracuse; his sister, Linda Vaught of Fayetteville, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Terry’s family would like to thank the staff at HOA and the 3rd floor staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their kindness and care.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Terry’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Family and friends may call from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Terry’s memory may be made to Bishop Grimes Basketball Programs, 6653 Kirkville Road, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
