Theresa June Blanch Aversa's Obituary
Theresa June Blanch Aversa, 83, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in Buffalo, NY. She was born on September 20, 1933 in Syracuse, NY, to Raymond and Gwendolyn Bills. Theresa graduated from St. John the Evangelist High School in 1951. She married Jack Blanch in 1951, and had eight children. They moved to Tonawanda, NY for eight years before returning to Syracuse. Theresa was a homemaker and after raising her children worked nine years for Catholic Charities.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Eleanor Cota; brother, Thomas Bills; her ex-husband, Jack Blanch; and husbands, Donald Rech and Peter Aversa.
Theresa is survived by her children, Kathleen (Thomas Crosier) Dickinson, Joan (Hal) Stein, Jack (Linda) Blanch, Janet (David) Bills, Eleanor (Paul) Righi, Stephen (Stephanie) Blanch, Raymond (Suzanne) Blanch, and Edward (ReBecca) Blanch; nineteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Raymond (Betty) Bills, Anne Simiele, Robert (Jean) Bills, and Marnie Underwood, along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 8:30 AM in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Church, Liverpool. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, February 24, 2017 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
