Theresa (Destefano) Stagnitta's Obituary
Theresa (Destefano) Stagnitta, 94, of Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Syracuse to the late Sam and Lucy (Pasco) Destefano, Theresa was the owner/operator of Don Tre’s Beauty Salon for many years. Theresa also enjoyed spending time with family and their many winters in Florida.
Along with her parents, Theresa is predeceased by her brother, Joseph (Rose) Destefano, sister Genevieve Gebhardt.
Theresa is survived by her loving husband, Vincent “Jimmy” Stagnitta; her 2 children, Donna (Ronald) Longo, of Westvale, and Jimmy (Sabrina) Stagnitta, of Camillus; grandchildren, Michael (Christine) Williams, Amanda Stagnitta (Michael Loiodice), and James Stagnitta, Jr.; 3 great-grandchildren, Melody and Mickey Williams, and Riley Catanzarite; sister, Giorgina (Salvatore) Sciuga; brother-in-law, Anthony Stagnitta; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services in celebration of Theresa’s life will be private at the convenience of the family. A Funeral Mass in celebration of Theresa's life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at St. Charles-St. Ann's Church, 501 S. Orchard Rd., Syracuse, NY. She will be laid to rest at Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery.
