Theresa M. Vercillo's Obituary
Theresa M. Vercillo, 92, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Bishop Rehabilitation and Nursing Home. She was born in Syracuse on March 14, 1928 to the late Peter and Emily (Ranieri) Vercillo and lived most of her life at 113 Ash St. on the Northside of Syracuse. After Theresa’s mother passed away when she was a child, she was raised by her grandmother, Theresa Vercillo. Theresa worked for Marine Midland Bank from the age of 18 until her retirement. Upon retirement, she became the Director of Operations of the Proof Department. She loved playing cards, reading, and taking trips to Las Vegas.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her stepmother, Agnes; her sisters, Mary Cooper and Donna Jacobson; her brother, Peter Vercillo.
Theresa is survived by her brothers, Louis Vercillo and David (Donna) Vercillo; her sister-in-law, June Vercillo; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Theresa will be loved and missed. Her great sense of humor and generosity is her legacy.
Graveside services will be held in the spring due to Covid-19.
