Thomas P. Agati's Obituary
Thomas P. Agati, 79, of Liverpool, lost his battle with cancer, at home on September 17, 2023. Tom graduated from St. Vincent’s High School where he excelled in basketball, baseball, and golf. From there, he went on to Le Moyne College where he graduated in 1965 and was lettered in golf along with being captain of the team. Tom worked for 56 years as an executive in sales in the banking industry. He was also owner of Docusystems Inc. and TPA Associates. Tom was a member of Lakeshore Yacht and Country Club for 36 years while also participating as a Board Member. In retirement, Tom and Rosanne split their time between Syracuse, NY and Boynton Beach, Florida. While in Florida, Tom stayed active playing golf at Atlantis Country Club. He loved planning his days around his grandsons’ sports activities. He was an avid volunteer in the Lakeshore Junior Golf program. Tom was proudest watching his grandsons excel in sports. He was appreciative of the support from his friends and family throughout his illness.
He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony, and Elsie (Datlo) Agati and his stepmother, Beatrice Agati.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Rosanne (Vivenzio) Agati; his two daughters, Anne Marie (John) Latocha, and Janine (Brian) Turner; his grandsons, Jullian Latocha, Luca Latocha, Ethan Turner, and Mason Turner; along with his sister, Nancy Agati.
A funeral Mass in celebration of Tom’s life will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023, in Epiphany Parish at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1001 Tulip Street, Liverpool. Family and friends may call on Friday, September 22, 2023, from 4:00 –7 :00 p.m. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Tom’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
