Thomas C. Conkey's Obituary
Thomas C. Conkey, 82, of Syracuse, passed away November 3, 2024 at Crouse Hospital. He was born in Seneca Falls, NY, son of the late Clarence and Mary Conkey. Thomas was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He worked for the City of Syracuse DPW for over 30 years, retiring as Superintendent of Sewers and Streams. Thomas loved spending winters in Florida and enjoyed cross country driving to Vegas.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Margaret “Peg” (Armstrong) Conkey; two sons, Tim (Carrie) Conkey and Thomas Conkey; three grandchildren, Christian, Thomas and Victoria; a great-grandson, Noah; his aunt, Bertha Canino and several cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Private entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
