Thomas D. Edwards' Obituary
Thomas D. Edwards, 72, of Constableville, NY, passed away on July 8, 2025, at Upstate University Hospital. Born in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of the late Sylvester and Florence (Davis) Edwards.
A respected member of the community, Thomas retired as Past President, Owner, and Chief Metallurgist of General Heat Treating Corp. in East Syracuse, NY. His dedication to service extended beyond his profession, as he proudly served as a Rescue Captain and EMT for the Taunton Fire Department.
Thomas cherished the moments he spent with his children and grandchildren and was an enthusiastic outdoorsman who found joy in nature's beauty.
He is predeceased by his sister, Diane Sherwood, and his brother, Daren Edwards.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Cheryl (Wede) Edwards; three children: Kevin Edwards (Christine), Jennifer Fletcher, and Scott Edwards (Kristina); and his beloved grandchildren: Joshua and Kassady Fletcher, Vincent, Julianna, Maverick, and Zoey Edwards. He is also survived by two sisters, Eileen McKelvey and Brenda Szymanoski, and his brother, Robert Edwards, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during calling hours on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 10 am to 12 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, located at 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) Syracuse, NY 13212, followed by a luncheon at The Preserve at 405, 405 Spencer Street Syracuse, NY from 12 pm - 2pm.
