Thomas "Tom" Kane's Obituary
Thomas “Tom” Kane, 70, of Sterling, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late George and Edith (Bada) Kane. Tom earned his bachelor’s degree at Columbia University and was the Director of Sales for Kerry, Inc. He enjoyed fishing, boating, golfing, reading, music, and playing guitar. Tom loved eating anything and everything except raw onions.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years, Karen (Cordon) Kane; his son, Matthew Kane and his daughter, Melissa (Casey) White; six grandchildren, Kelsey, Landon, Leo, Scottie, John and Cameron; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Russell, Keryn, Andrew, Pam, Charles, Marci, and Thomas Cordon, Catherine and AJ Fiorini; four nieces, Emily, Rachel, Jessica, and Misty, and his nephew, Nicholas.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 3:00 – 6:00 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) Syracuse, NY. A funeral service in celebration of Tom’s life will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME.
