Thomas F. Maley's Obituary
On November 24, 2021, Thomas F. Maley passed from this world to his heavenly reward. He was born to Frank and Pearl Maley in Syracuse, NY on May 12, 1942. Thomas was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He graduated from Christian Brothers Academy, Ithaca College (BFA), and Syracuse University (MFA). He taught in the Syracuse Public Schools, producing Broadway plays with teenagers while parenting two children of his own. He later moved to San Diego, CA where he met and married his wife of 26 years. Thomas, the consummate performer, continued his career as a talented jazz pianist and singer at many local venues. He and his wife shared their passion for music during their years together. They later moved to Albuquerque to be close to family in 2004.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Barbara Thompson; sister, Francine Maley; children, Marissa Maley (Josh Teitelbaum) and TC Maley; stepchildren, Matthew Thompson, MD (Teresa) and Kristin Deike (Kraig) and three grandchildren, Megan and Christopher Thompson and Sarah Deike.
